Kaizer Chiefs made it seven wins from seven in the DStv Diski Challenge after beating AmaZulu FC 3-1 on Saturday morning to strengthen their position at the top of the table.
Neo Bohloko scored twice for Vela Khumalo’s side, taking his league tally to eight goals in seven matches. The result moved Amakhosi to 21 points and kept them as the only team with a 100% winning record in the 2026/27 campaign.
Chiefs are seven points ahead of second-placed Sekhukhune United, who have a game in hand, although the victory also gives the leaders an eight-point advantage over Babina Noko in the current standings.
Bohloko opened the scoring after 12 minutes, finishing an attack set up by Steven Mendes. The goal was the 18-year-old’s seventh of the season.
He struck again just a minute later to complete his brace and give Chiefs a commanding 2-0 lead before the match had reached the quarter-hour mark.
AmaZulu responded after the interval, scoring in the 54th minute to reduce the deficit and raise the prospect of a tense finish for the league leaders.
Chiefs, however, restored their two-goal advantage in the 82nd minute. Mendes supplied his second assist of the match, with Kamohelo Malefo converting to secure another significant result for the unbeaten leaders.
The victory leaves Chiefs with 22 goals from their seven matches. They have conceded six, giving them a goal difference of plus 16.
