Kaizer Chiefs confirm signing ex-Orlando Pirates defender Thabiso Monyane

South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have completed the acquisition of former Orlando Pirates defender Thabiso Monyane in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old right-back joins the Soweto giants following his departure from rivals Orlando Pirates at the end of the season.

He becomes the fifth signing for Kaizer Chiefs in a massive squad reinforcement in the sumer transfer window.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of right-back Thabiso Monyane, previously with Orlando Pirates. He will don jersey 2” wrote the club on X, formerly known as Twitter.

With his wealth of experience, the 25-year-old attacker is expected to contribute significantly towards the success of the club in the upcoming campaign.

Kaizer Chiefs are bolstering their squad for the 2025/26 campaign in an attempt to compete for laurels. Despite ending their trophyless run, the Soweto giants missed out on the top eight in the South African top-flight, prompting swift squad augmentation for the new campaign.
