Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has cleared the air amid speculations about his future at the club.
Despite securing the South African Cup and ending a decade-long trophy drought, Kaizer Chiefs’ league position remains precarious, sparking concerns about Nabi’s future at the club.
Report went rife that the Tunisian tactician is set to resign from his role as head coach of the Soweto giants.
Speaking on Radio947, Nasreddine Nabi has quashed such reports as he focused on the remaining two games of the campaign.
“I’m very surprised by these rumors and assumptions because I’m fully focused on the remaining two games. We are completely concentrated on the last two matches, as it’s crucial to finish in the top eight.
I don’t want to lose the momentum the Cup win has brought us. I still have a contract, and I’m not worried about this. I don’t think now is the right time to talk about it. Kaizer Chiefs is my family. I have a mission and a responsibility, and today I want to enjoy the success,” he said.
Kaizer Chiefs currently sit ninth on the South African Premier League standings, accumulating 30 points.
