Juventus target Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou

Juventus have reportedly identified Morocco international Yassine Bounou as one of their leading goalkeeper targets during the summer transfer window.

According to reports, the Serie A giants are considering an offer of around €9 million to persuade Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal to part with the experienced shot-stopper.

The 35-year-old remains under contract with Al-Hilal until the summer of 2028, meaning any transfer will depend on the Saudi club agreeing to negotiate should Juventus submit a formal bid.

Uncertain future in Saudi Arabia

Reports suggest Juventus’ interest comes amid uncertainty surrounding Bounou’s role at Al-Hilal.

The Moroccan goalkeeper is reportedly facing the prospect of being removed from the club’s domestic league squad following the return of Mohammed Al-Owais, with plans to use him primarily in continental competitions.

That situation is said to have raised doubts over Bounou’s long-term future, with the Atlas Lions goalkeeper reportedly reluctant to accept a reduced role limited to Asian competitions.

Juventus monitoring situation

The Italian club are now monitoring developments closely as they assess their goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.

While no official offer has yet been made, Juventus are understood to be considering whether to formalise their interest if the conditions are favourable.

For now, Bounou remains an Al-Hilal player, but speculation over a return to European football is expected to continue as the transfer window progresses.
