Juventus target French-Ivorian goalkeeper Guillaume Restes ahead of summer rebuild
Juventus are reportedly targeting Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes as part of plans to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The 21-year-old has attracted growing attention following a series of strong performances for Toulouse FC, where he has established himself as a key figure between the posts.
His consistency this season has been underlined by eight clean sheets in 26 Ligue 1 appearances.
With the summer transfer window approaching, interest in the Franco-Ivorian goalkeeper is expected to intensify.
Restes was already the subject of transfer discussions during the previous window, and despite being under contract with Toulouse until June 2028, the club could face increasing pressure to retain him.
Reports indicate that Juventus are considering a significant squad rebuild and have identified the goalkeeping position as an area requiring reinforcement.
Restes is understood to be among the priority options being assessed by the Italian side as they plan for the upcoming campaign.
The potential move is also linked to the involvement of Damien Comolli, the chief executive of Toulouse, who is said to place considerable importance on the development of players in that role.
Having previously worked closely with Restes, Comolli is believed to hold the goalkeeper in high regard and views him as capable of performing at the highest level.
Juventus had previously shown interest in Restes during the last transfer window, which could place them in a strong position should they pursue a deal again.
However, with the player’s profile continuing to rise, other clubs may yet enter the race, potentially complicating any move.
Restes’ performances have made him one of the notable young goalkeepers in Ligue 1 this season, and his situation is likely to be closely monitored in the coming months.
His current market valuation is reported to be around 20 million euros, while his annual salary stands at approximately 260,000 euros.
As speculation builds, Toulouse may face a challenging decision over whether to retain one of their standout performers or consider offers that reflect his growing reputation.
