Patrice Evra Embraces New Chapter at Juventus
Patrice Evra has expressed no regrets about his recent transfer from Manchester United to Juventus, describing his move as the right decision both professionally and personally. The French international, who is of Cape Verdean descent, shared his positive impressions of life at the Italian giants in an interview with the club’s official channel.
Evra revealed that personal issues prompted his departure from Manchester United and that Juventus was the only club willing to offer him a fresh start. “It’s a club with history and big goals,” he said, emphasizing the persuasive efforts of Juventus coach Antonio Conte, who repeatedly contacted him to secure the deal.
Since joining Juventus, Evra feels welcomed and comfortable among his new teammates. He praised the club’s professionalism, noting the similarity in standards compared to his former club: “Everyone, from the doctors to the media department, puts you in condition to give the best of yourself.”
Reflecting on his early days in Turin, Evra admitted the pre-season was among the toughest of his career. “After a month of work, I’m happy to still be alive,” he joked. Determined to redefine his image, Evra urged fans to see him for the player he is today rather than the Manchester United version of himself. “For that, I do my best in training and I try to listen to the mister [Massimiliano Allegri] all the time,” he said.
As Evra settles into life in Italy, he remains focused on contributing to Juventus’s ambitions and carving out a new legacy at one of Europe’s most storied clubs.
