Juventus open talks to extend Pierre Kalulu’s contract amid Premier League interest

Juventus have reportedly opened discussions with Pierre Kalulu’s representatives over a new contract for the Franco-Congolese defender.

Kalulu, 26, is currently tied to the Bianconeri until 2029, but his impressive performances since arriving in Turin have prompted the club to consider extending his stay even further.

The Lyon-born defender has established himself as a key figure in Juventus’ defence since joining the club in 2024, quickly becoming a reliable option through his consistency and versatility.

Kalulu’s performances have also attracted interest from clubs in the Premier League, with English sides reportedly keeping tabs on his situation during the summer transfer window.

Despite the interest from England, the France international decided to continue his career in Turin and remain part of Juventus’ project.

That decision has reportedly encouraged the club’s management to begin discussions with his representatives over a possible contract extension.

Kalulu came through the youth system at Olympique Lyonnais but did not make a senior appearance for the French club before leaving the country in 2020.

He moved to Italy that summer to join AC Milan, where he gradually established himself as an important first-team player.

During his four seasons at San Siro, Kalulu made 112 appearances for the Rossoneri before making the switch to Juventus in 2024.

Since arriving in Turin, the defender has continued to impress, displaying consistency while offering the ability to operate in different defensive positions.

His versatility has made him an important asset for Juventus, while his performances have also earned him recognition at international level.

Kalulu has so far made three appearances for France and remains part of the wider pool of defenders competing for a place in the national team.
