Juventus want to sign Moroccan talent

Juventus are reportedly keeping a close eye on Moroccan defender Sofyan El Karouani as the Italian giants prepare to strengthen their squad during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to reports from Italian media, El Karouani has emerged as one of the options being considered by Juventus to reinforce the left side of the team. The defender’s current contract with FC Utrecht is nearing its expiration, making him a potential free transfer opportunity.

The possibility of signing the Moroccan international without a transfer fee is believed to appeal to Juventus as the club plans major adjustments to several areas of the squad ahead of next season.

The left back position is among the departments expected to undergo changes, with uncertainty surrounding the future of some current players. Juventus are therefore exploring new options capable of adding both quality and depth to the squad.

Earlier reports had linked El Karouani with a move to Al-Qadsiah once his deal with Utrecht expires. However, Juventus’ growing interest could potentially influence the player’s final decision, especially with the attraction of a move to Serie A.

El Karouani has impressed throughout the current campaign with his strong attacking output from the left flank. The Moroccan defender has registered three goals and 16 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for Utrecht.

His performances have reportedly attracted attention from several clubs outside the Eredivisie, further increasing interest in his situation as his contract approaches its final stages.

With the summer transfer window drawing closer, Juventus are continuing to monitor developments closely, while Al-Qadsiah remain hopeful of completing a deal for the Moroccan full-back.
