Juventus makes move for AC Milan’s Pierre Kalulu with loan offer
AC Milan’s French defender Pierre Kalulu has attracted interest from Juventus as the summer transfer window approaches its final days. The Turin-based club has made its first official offer, proposing a loan deal with an option to buy the 24-year-old player, who is currently under contract with Milan until 2027.
Kalulu, who joined AC Milan from Lyon in 2020, has become a key figure in Milan’s defense, amassing 84 appearances in Serie A and contributing three goals and two assists during his tenure.
His versatility and solid performances have caught the eye of Juventus, who are looking to bolster their defensive lineup after a period of struggles in recent seasons.
Juventus’ Bid: Loan with a Purchase Option
Juventus’ offer to AC Milan for Kalulu includes a €3 million loan fee with a subsequent €14 million option to purchase the player outright.
This move signals Juventus’ intent to bring in reinforcements as they aim to reclaim their position at the top of Italian football.
The offer represents a potential fresh start for Kalulu, who has expressed initial approval for the move.
Kalulu’s willingness to entertain the proposal suggests that a departure from Milan could be on the horizon, despite his long-term contract with the Rossoneri.
If the deal goes through, it would provide Juventus with a young, versatile defender capable of playing both as a center-back and a right-back, adding depth and flexibility to their defensive options.
AC Milan’s Decision
While Kalulu has given a preliminary green light, the final decision rests with AC Milan.
The Rossoneri must weigh the benefits of the proposed deal against the potential loss of a player who has grown into a reliable part of their squad.
Milan’s management will need to consider their own defensive needs and whether they can afford to let Kalulu go, especially with the clock ticking down on the transfer window.
For Juventus, securing Kalulu would be a strategic move to address their defensive vulnerabilities.
The club’s recent struggles have highlighted the need for fresh talent, and Kalulu’s experience in Serie A makes him an attractive option.
Juventus are likely to push hard to finalize the deal, hoping to add Kalulu to their ranks before the window closes.
A New Chapter for Kalulu?
If the transfer proceeds, Kalulu could find himself at the heart of Juventus’ plans for the coming season.
The move to Turin would offer him the opportunity to establish himself in a new environment, under the guidance of a club with a rich history of success in Italian football.
It would also present Kalulu with the challenge of helping Juventus regain their former glory after a period of relative decline.
As the transfer window nears its conclusion, all eyes will be on the negotiations between AC Milan and Juventus.
Kalulu’s future could be decided in the coming days, with the potential to see the young French defender donning the black and white stripes of Juventus in the upcoming Serie A campaign.
