JUVENTUS CONFIRM ONE-MONTH ABSENCE FOR PATRICE EVRA DUE TO THIGH INJURY
Patrice Evra will be out of action for the next month after sustaining a muscle injury during training on October 18, Juventus confirmed on their official website.
Further medical examinations revealed a lesion to the biceps femoris in his left thigh. The experienced French left-back, who joined the Bianconeri from Manchester United during the summer, is now expected to miss at least four weeks of competition.
The injury also rules Evra out of France’s upcoming friendlies in November. He will not be available for Les Bleus’ clashes against Albania in Rennes on November 14, nor for the match against Sweden in Marseille on November 18.
This setback comes as a blow to both Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri and France manager Didier Deschamps, who have regularly relied on Evra’s experience and leadership.
