Junior Nsangou: Poland-Cameroon forward joins Slask Wrocław II after spell without a club

Poland-Cameroon centre-forward Junior Nsangou has joined Slask Wrocław II after a period without a club, sealing a move that gives the 20-year-old a fresh platform in the Betclic 2 Liga.

Nsangou, born in Douala and eligible for both Poland and Cameroon, arrives as a free player after leaving Atletico Albacete and subsequently spending last season unattached. He joins the reserve side of Slask Wrocław as an attacking option through the middle, where he is expected to operate primarily as a centre-forward.

Right-footed and standing at 1.76m, Nsangou has already featured regularly since his arrival, starting both of his team’s opening matches in the Copa Proyeccion Apertura 2026 and playing the majority of minutes. Although he is yet to register a goal or assist in that competition, his involvement from the start underlines the club’s willingness to integrate him quickly into competitive action.

Nsangou began his career in England with Blackburn Rovers’ academy, progressing from the Blackburn Academy side to the under-18s in 2021 and then to the under-21 squad in 2023. He left Blackburn’s under-21s in 2024 to join Atletico Albacete on a free transfer, before departing the Spanish club the following year.

The forward’s move to Slask Wrocław II was completed on 23 July 2026, confirming his return to club football and his first contract in the Polish system.
