Junior Kameni: Cameroon striker joins Rayon Sports from Khor Fakkan

Cameroon centre-forward Junior Kameni has joined Rwandan giants Rayon Sports from UAE Pro League side Khor Fakkan. The 25-year-old moves to Kigali as an established attacking option, adding height and physical presence to Rayons forward line.

Kameni, who stands at 1.97m and favours his left foot, switches clubs after a year with Khor Fakkan, having previously been on the books of Sharjah FC in the United Arab Emirates. His transfer to Khor Fakkan came in July 2025 following a short spell with Sharjah, where he had been recruited earlier that year.

Before heading to the Gulf, Kameni built his reputation in Morocco and Kazakhstan. He first stepped up to senior football with FUS Rabat after progressing through FUS Espoirs, and later moved to Kaysar in July 2024. That transfer involved a reported 40,000 fee, underlining his growing value at the time. A loan spell with Danish side Nstved BK in early 2024 added European experience to his CV before he returned to FUS Rabat at the end of that season.

In Moroccos top flight, the Botola Pro, Kameni made 38 appearances and scored eight goals, also contributing four assists. He added two more goals and an assist in the Coupe du Trone, underlining his threat in domestic cup competition.

Kamenis arrival, confirmed on 12 July 2026, sees him become the latest Cameroonian to continue his career in East Africa as he begins a new chapter with Rayon Sports.
