Junior Burban joins Loko Plovdiv from QRM on free transfer

France-Cameroon forward Junior Burban has joined Bulgarian club Loko Plovdiv from QRM on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old centre-forward moves to the efbet Liga after a short spell with QRM, whom he joined from US Saint-Malo in July. Burban made three Ligue 3 appearances for QRM during the 2026-27 season, playing 101 minutes without scoring.

Burban, born in Vannes, France, began his senior career with Lorient B after progressing through FC Lorient’s youth system. He spent time away from the club on loan with SO Cholet and AS Saint-Priest before joining Vannes in 2023.

The forward moved to Luxembourg side Progres Niederkorn in July 2024 and then returned to France a year later to sign for US Saint-Malo. His next move took him to QRM, where he made three appearances before completing his switch to Loko Plovdiv.

Burban is listed at 1.82m and prefers his right foot. His arrival gives Loko Plovdiv another centre-forward option as he begins a new chapter outside France.

The move is the latest in a series of free transfers for Burban, who has moved between clubs in France and Luxembourg without a reported fee throughout his senior career. His previous clubs include Lorient B, SO Cholet, AS Saint-Priest, Vannes, Progres Niederkorn, US Saint-Malo and QRM.

Burban joined Loko Plovdiv on 10 September 2026.
