Junior Burban: France-Cameroon striker joins QRM on free transfer from US Saint-Malo

France-Cameroon forward Junior Burban has joined Quevilly-Rouen Metropole (QRM) on a free transfer from US Saint-Malo.

The 26-year-old centre-forward switches to the Ligue 3 side after a year at Saint-Malo, where he moved in 2025, also as a free agent. His arrival adds further depth in attack for QRM, with the right-footer bringing a consistent scoring record from the French lower leagues and a successful spell abroad.

Burban, born in Vannes and standing at 1.82m, has built a reputation as a reliable goalscorer across National 1 and National 2. Across his time in those divisions, he has registered multiple double-figure goal seasons, including 19 goals in one National 2 campaign and 15 in a National 1 group, underlining his ability to adapt to different levels and groups within the French pyramid.

The striker also impressed during a stint in Luxembourg’s BGL Ligue with Progres Niederkorn, hitting 18 goals and six assists in 30 league appearances. That form earned him a move back to France with Saint-Malo before QRM stepped in to secure his services. Burban has also shown a taste for knockout football, scoring seven times in 11 Coupe de France appearances and adding goals and an assist in domestic cup action in Luxembourg.

Having come through the Lorient youth system and their B team before a series of loans and permanent moves, Burban now continues his career with QRM following the completion of his free transfer from US Saint-Malo.
