Juma Bah suffers knee injury on Sierra Leone duty

Juma Bah’s international appearance for Sierra Leone ended painfully after the FC Augsburg defender appeared to suffer a left-knee injury during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Zimbabwe.

The 20-year-old centre-back went down in the 54th minute, visibly distressed, before receiving attention from teammates. They stretched his left leg, with the discomfort seemingly concentrated around the knee. No obvious contact with an opponent preceded the incident, leaving the exact cause unclear.

Although Bah managed to walk off the pitch without assistance, he was clearly limping. He could not continue and was substituted, creating an immediate concern for both Sierra Leone and Augsburg.

At this stage, the severity of the injury remains unknown.
