The Algerian women’s Judo team participated in the World Cup in the senior discipline held in Salvador de Bahia but was eliminated in the first round by the Cuban team with a score of 5-0. The competition served as preparation for the athletes, and the Algerian federation aimed to provide the young judokas with international experience for future events, including the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. The national technical director, Salim Boutebcha, mentioned that the selected group is expected to represent Algeria at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
