Joyskim Dawa linked with UAE move as United FC eye FCSB defender
Cameroonian-French defender Joyskim Dawa could leave FCSB for UAE Pro League club United FC, with the 30-year-old reportedly attracting interest ahead of a possible transfer.
Dawa has made six SuperLiga appearances for FCSB this season, scoring once, and has also featured in the Romanian Cup and Conference League qualifying. He joined the Bucharest club from FC Botosani in July 2022 in a €350,000 transfer.
The centre-back has won the Romanian title twice with FCSB, in 2023-24 and 2024-25, and also lifted the Romanian Super Cup in 2024-25. He remains under contract with FCSB until 30 June 2027.
A move to United FC would take Dawa from Romania’s top flight to the UAE Pro League, although the rumour does not include a proposed fee or indication that negotiations have reached an advanced stage. His current market value is listed at €1.8m.
Dawa began his senior career with Monaco B before spells in Portugal, Ukraine and Latvia, but has spent the past four seasons in Romania. He has established himself as part of FCSB’s defensive options during a campaign in which he has started 75% of the club’s SuperLiga matches.
For now, Dawa remains a FCSB player with almost a year left on his contract, while United FC’s reported interest has yet to develop into a confirmed agreement.
