Joseph Nonge linked with Ligue 1 move from Kocaelispor to Brest
Joseph Nonge, a Belgium and DR Congo midfielder at Kocaelispor, has been linked with a move to French club Stade Brestois.
The 21-year-old central midfielder joined the Turkish Super Lig side from Juventus’ reserve team, Juve Next Gen, on 5 July 2025. He has a contract with Kocaelispor until 30 June 2028.
Nonge has made 25 Super Lig appearances for Kocaelispor, playing 1,193 minutes during the campaign. He has also featured in the Turkish Cup, where he made four appearances and scored once.
The player began his senior career with Juve Next Gen after progressing through Juventus’ youth system. He spent part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Troyes in France’s Ligue 2 and Servette in Switzerland before returning to the Italian club.
Nonge was part of the Juventus side that won the Italian Cup in the 2023-24 season, although his appearances in the competition were limited.
A move to Brest would represent a return to France for the midfielder, who previously spent time with Troyes. The Ligue 1 club’s interest comes while Nonge remains under contract in Turkey, meaning any transfer would require an agreement with Kocaelispor.
