Joseph Aidoo: Ghanaian midfielder returns to Sanatatea on free transfer from Zilina Africa
Ghana attacking midfielder Joseph Aidoo has rejoined Romanian side Sanatatea from Zilina Africa on a free transfer. The 21-year-old, who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, has completed a permanent move back to the club ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Aidoo arrives without a transfer fee after leaving Ghanaian outfit Zilina Africa, where he had moved in January 2026, also on a free. His switch marks a fresh chapter at Sanatatea, the club he previously represented in the 2024-25 campaign before departing for MSK Zilina B in Slovakia.
The Accra-born midfielder has gathered experience across several European leagues despite his age. He has played in the Latvian system with Skanste and featured in Slovakias second tier, making league appearances and contributing an assist in II. Liga action, as well as getting further minutes in domestic cup ties.
During his time in Slovakia, Aidoo accumulated game time in both the league and cup competitions, including 185 minutes in II. Liga and four cup outings totalling 360 minutes. Earlier spells with Westerlos under-19 side in Belgium and with Skanste provided him with additional development in structured academy and senior environments.
Aidoo first joined Sanatatea in the summer of 2024 from Skanste and now returns to the Romanian club with a market value of 10,000. His latest move is a permanent free transfer completed on 10 July 2026, confirming his status once again as a Sanatatea player.
