Spanish coach Jose Riveiro is keeping Al Ahly fully focused as the team heads into a closed training camp ahead of Friday’s Egyptian Premier League encounter with FC Pharco at Cairo Stadium.
Riveiro has been pushing for strong team spirit, telling his players that mental readiness will be as important as tactical execution.
The coach announced his squad list with Mohamed El-Shenawy and Mostafa Shobeir in goal, supported by defenders Yassin Marei, Ashraf Dari, Mohamed Shukry, Mohamed Hany, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Karim Fouad, and Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan.
Midfield options include Ahmed Nabil Koka, Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, Taher Mohamed Taher, Ahmed Reda, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Hussein El Shahat, and Achraf Bencharki. The attack will be led by Mohamed Sherif and Gradishar.
Notably absent are Marwan Attia, Emam Ashour, and Yasser Ibrahim due to injury, along with Mohamed Siha and Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed for technical reasons.
Riveiro believes the squad has the depth and energy to secure three points, stressing that discipline and togetherness will be key against a competitive Pharco side.
