The head coach of the Nigerian national team, Jose Peseiro, provided the latest updates on the Super Eagles ahead of their encounter with Equatorial Guinea.
Nigeria will face Equatorial Guinea on Sunday at 4:00 PM Cairo time, marking the beginning of the group stage matches in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Group A.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Jose Peseiro stated, “Playing for Nigeria is not an easy task.
Two hundred million football fans want victory, and we must respond with good results on the field.”
Peseiro continued, “I am not talking about our recent results; I am talking about how to improve our outcomes.
We consistently create opportunities and need to find the right balance.”
He added, “We will give our best in tomorrow’s match.”
Continuing, Peseiro said, “Kelichi Ehinacho and Paul Onuachu have arrived in Ivory Coast, and it is expected that Terem Moffi will arrive tomorrow to join the national team for the tournament.”
As the Super Eagles gear up for the crucial clash, Peseiro emphasized the challenging nature of representing a football powerhouse like Nigeria.
