The Jordanian Football Federation is keen on convincing Hussein Amouta to remain with the “Nashama” national team despite his hints at the possibility of departure after the conclusion of the Asian Cup.
In a related context, Marwan Juma, the Vice President of the Jordanian Football Federation, expressed hope for the Moroccan coach of the Jordanian national team, Hussein Amouta, to continue leading the Nashama after the latter’s statements about “family circumstances” that may prevent him from continuing.
Juma stated in a television interview aired on the local Kingdom Channel, “Hussein Amouta’s contract extends until 2026 despite his statement about the possibility of not continuing with us.
I say, God willing, we continue together, and the journey is completed until we achieve the goal, which is qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.”
The comments come amid speculation surrounding Amouta’s future with the Jordanian national team, with reports suggesting that he may be considering stepping down from his role due to personal reasons.
Amouta’s tenure has seen mixed results, with some notable successes but also challenges along the way.
Under his leadership, Jordan has shown glimpses of promise but has also faced setbacks in international competitions.
The desire of the Jordanian Football Federation to retain Amouta highlights the value they place on continuity and stability in coaching staff, especially with long-term goals such as World Cup qualification in mind.
Despite Amouta’s own uncertainties, the Federation appears determined to persuade him to stay and continue the journey with the Nashama, emphasizing the importance of his role in achieving their objectives on the international stage.
