Zimbabwean-English left-back Jordan Zemura has joined Watford from Italian club Udinese on a season-long loan, with the move running until 30 June 2027.

The 26-year-old, who is also eligible to represent England, returns to the Championship after spending the past three seasons with Udinese. He made 67 Serie A appearances for the Italian side, scoring twice and providing four assists.

Zemura’s move to Watford was completed on 2 August 2026, with his current market value listed at €5m. The transfer gives the Hornets an experienced option at left-back as they prepare for the new Championship campaign.

A left-footed defender standing 1.73m tall, Zemura began his senior career with Bournemouth after progressing through the club’s under-23 side. He made 35 Championship appearances for Bournemouth, scoring three goals and registering one assist, and also played 19 times in the Premier League, contributing one assist.

He joined Udinese from Bournemouth on a free transfer in July 2023. Since moving to Italy, he has also featured in six Coppa Italia matches, recording one assist.

Before his time at Bournemouth, Zemura came through the youth systems at Charlton Athletic and Queens Park Rangers. He joined Charlton’s under-18 side in 2017 before moving up to the club’s under-23 team the following year. In July 2019, he switched to Bournemouth’s under-23 setup on a free transfer.

His previous experience in both English and Italian football adds a varied background to Watford’s squad. Zemura’s most productive campaign by goals came in the Championship, where he scored three times in 35 appearances for Bournemouth, while his Serie A record includes more than 3,500 minutes of action.

The loan marks a return to England for Zemura after three years with Udinese, who signed him following his departure from Bournemouth. He is contracted to Watford until 30 June 2027, when the loan is scheduled to end and he is due to return to Udinese.
