Jordan Mintah: Malaysia-Ghana forward returns to Terengganu FC on free transfer

Malaysia-Ghana centre-forward Jordan Mintah has rejoined Terengganu FC from Kuching City on a free transfer. The 30-year-old has signed a deal running until June 2027, returning to the Super League side he previously represented earlier in his career.

Mintah, born in Kumasi and standing at 1.82m, leaves Kuching City after joining them in March 2024. His move strengthens Terengganu’s attacking options with an experienced right-footed striker who has already proved effective in Malaysian football.

This is Mintah’s second permanent spell with Terengganu FC, having first linked up with the club in the 2022-23 season following a loan stint at Kuala Lumpur. He later switched to Kuching City before now making his way back to the East Coast side.

Across his time in the Malaysian Super League and domestic cup competitions, Mintah has built a solid scoring record. He has registered 28 goals and four assists in 60 Super League appearances, averaging a goal roughly every game and a half, and has also found the net in the Malaysia FA Cup and AFC Cup.

Before moving to Malaysia, Mintah made his name in the Philippines, where he played for Stallion and Kaya FC. He was twice the top scorer in the Philippines Football League, including a prolific 2018-19 campaign in which he hit 31 goals.

Mintah’s market value is currently listed at €250,000, and his free transfer to Terengganu FC is confirmed for the 2026-27 season.
