Jordan Lotomba: Celtic sign Swiss-DR Congo defender from Feyenoord

Celtic have signed Switzerland and DR Congo defender Jordan Lotomba from Feyenoord, with the 27-year-old joining the Scottish Premiership club on a contract running until 30 June 2027.

Lotomba, who plays at right-back and prefers his right foot, moved to Celtic on 2 September 2026 after beginning the season in the Netherlands. He made two Eredivisie appearances for Feyenoord and provided one assist before completing his switch to Scotland.

The defender joined Feyenoord from French club Nice in September 2024 after making 104 appearances for the Ligue 1 side. He spent four seasons with Nice, having moved to France from Swiss club Young Boys in 2020 in a deal worth €7m.

Lotomba developed in Switzerland and helped Young Boys win three successive Swiss league titles between 2017-18 and 2019-20. He also lifted the Swiss Cup with the club in 2019-20, adding to the Swiss second-tier title he won with Lausanne-Sport in 2015-16.

He began his senior career at Lausanne-Sport after progressing through the Team Vaud Under-18 setup. His move to Young Boys followed in July 2017, before his transfer to Nice three years later.

The Celtic signing adds an experienced full-back with a career spanning Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. Lotomba has also played in the Eredivisie and Ligue 1, while his honours record includes four major domestic trophies in Switzerland.

He joins Celtic with the club having registered him for the 2026-27 Scottish Premiership campaign. His contract ties him to the Glasgow side until the end of June 2027.

Lotomba has now completed his move from Feyenoord to Celtic.
