Jordan Botaka, the Dutch striker of Congolese origin (DRC), has left Club Brugge and joined Excelsior Rotterdam in the Dutch second division. The 20-year-old player had been on trial with Excelsior for several weeks, and his performance convinced the club’s leaders to offer him a one-year contract with an option for an extension.
Excelsior coach Jon Dahl Tomasson expressed his positive impression of Botaka, stating, “Jordan trained with us for four weeks and immediately made a good impression. He is strong on the ball and is capable of making great moves. In addition, he is a guy who is pleasant to work with and who wants to prove his worth.” Botaka’s move to Excelsior Rotterdam marks a new chapter in his football career.
