Bordeaux Eyeing Jordan Ayew Amid Marseille Transfer Plans
According to French newspaper La Provence, Girondins de Bordeaux have expressed interest in Jordan Ayew, the 22-year-old striker currently contracted to Olympique de Marseille.
Ayew spent the 2013-2014 season on loan at Sochaux, where despite his efforts, the club was relegated from Ligue 1. Nevertheless, the Ghanaian forward demonstrated resilience and versatility during his stint, earning recognition for his contributions amid difficult circumstances.
With the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa as Marseille’s new head coach, Ayew has found himself out of the club’s future plans and has subsequently been placed on the transfer list. His contract with OM runs until 2015, but the club is reportedly open to offers this summer, valuing the player at approximately €3 million.
In addition to Bordeaux, Montpellier is also reportedly monitoring Ayew’s situation closely, indicating a competitive market for the young striker’s services ahead of the new season.
Jordan Ayew, son of former Ghana international Abedi Pele, continues to attract attention as he seeks to establish himself as a key figure in French football.
