Jordan Ayew registers assist in Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat to Hull City

Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew assisted a goal for Leicester City on Tuesday night, despite his side falling to a 2-1 defeat against Hull City in the English Championship.

Ayew, who started the Round 11 fixture at the MKM Stadium, was deployed in attack alongside fellow Ghanaian Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. Hull City made a strong start, opening the scoring in the 6th minute through Liam Millar after an assist from Joe Gelhardt.

Leicester struggled to find their rhythm and were punished again in the 31st minute when Gelhardt turned scorer, finishing off a pass from Ryan Giles to double Hull City’s lead.

The Foxes eventually pulled one back in the 67th minute, with Jordan Ayew showcasing his vision to set up Aaron Ramsey.

The youngster clinically converted the chance, but it proved only a consolation as Leicester were unable to complete the comeback.

Following the match, Ayew’s tally in the Championship stands at one goal and one assist from 10 appearances.
