Jordan Ayew linked with Blackburn move after leaving Leicester

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew, currently without a club after leaving Leicester City, has been linked with Blackburn in the Championship.

The 34-year-old left Leicester on 1 July 2026 and is now being mentioned as a potential addition for Blackburn. No transfer fee or probability has been attached to the rumour.

Ayew made four appearances at the 2026 World Cup, starting all four matches and playing 84% of Ghana’s available minutes. He did not score or provide an assist during the tournament.

The centre-forward joined Leicester from Crystal Palace in August 2024 in a deal worth €5.9m. He had spent the previous five seasons at Palace after moving from Swansea City, where he played in the Premier League and Championship.

Ayew has made 305 Premier League appearances, scoring 42 goals and providing 25 assists. He also has 159 Ligue 1 appearances to his name and began his senior career with Marseille, winning the French title, three French League Cups and two French Super Cups with the club.

His last recorded market value was €1m. Ayew’s departure from Leicester means any move to Blackburn would be on a free transfer, with the forward currently unattached.
