Jordan Ayew Poised for Summer Exit from Olympique de Marseille
Jordan Ayew looks set to leave Olympique de Marseille this summer after falling out of favour at the club with one year remaining on his contract. The Ghanaian striker returned to Marseille following a six-month loan spell at Sochaux but is unlikely to stay long at the Stade Vélodrome.
Sources, including L’Équipe, suggest that three clubs are showing strong interest in securing the 22-year-old forward’s services. Among them, OGC Nice emerges as a leading contender, with the Ligue 1 side keen to bring Ayew back to the French Riviera after previously attempting to loan him. This would be Ayew’s third potential club following reported interest from Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bordeaux.
Despite his struggles to cement a place under Marcelo Bielsa at Marseille, Ayew’s recent performances during his loan at Sochaux have caught the attention of several clubs. European sides such as Olympique Lyonnais, Girondins de Bordeaux, and Montpellier have also been linked with the forward, who impressed under Sochaux coach Hervé Renard during the latter half of the season.
Having failed to establish himself at his training club, Ayew’s next move this summer will be pivotal as he looks to revive his career away from Marseille.
