I express my condolences for the passing of Jean-Baptiste Pitroipa, the father of Burkina Faso international Jonathan Pitroipa, who plays for Stade Rennais in France. Jean-Baptiste Pitroipa, also known as Pit, co-founded the football training center Kada School International. He passed away on January 9, 2024, after battling an illness. His son had been keeping vigil at his side, and his return to Burkina Faso marked the sad end of this chapter. The news has generated an outpouring of sympathy and support from the Burkinabe sporting community and Jonathan Pitroipa’s teammates. May Jean-Baptiste Pitroipa rest in peace, and may his family find strength during this difficult time.
