Joining FC Union Berlin is the right step to continue my development – Stanley Nsoki

France-born defender of DR Congo descent, Stanley Nsoki, has reacted to his move to the German club 1. FC Union Berlin.

The defender sealed his move to the German Bundesliga club on Thursday, July 24.

In the statement, Union Berlin said the new signing will be gradually integrated into the team.

“1. FC Union Berlin has loaned the French center-back Stanley Nsoki from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The 26-year-old left-footed player arrived on Wednesday evening at the training camp in Herzogenaurach. After a muscular injury, he is now being gradually rehabilitated and slowly integrated into the team,” the German club announced.

Reacting to his move to Union Berlin, Nsoki stressed his delight, adding that he believes joining Union Berlin is the right step to continue his development.

“The club have a clear identity, fights with heart and conviction, and that’s exactly what suits me. I feel the confidence here that I can contribute something with my style of play. For me, this is the right step to continue my development in a special environment and at the same time give everything for the success of the team,’ said centre-back Stanley Nsoki upon signing his contract,” the defender said as quoted on the Union Berlin website.
