Cameroonian international Jérôme Guihoata could soon be leaving Cypriot side Omonia Aradippou, with reports suggesting he is being targeted by Iranian top-flight club Aluminium Arak FC. The 29-year-old defender, who joined Omonia Aradippou in January 2023 from Greek side Eolikos, is now attracting interest from the Middle East.
According to sources cited by 237foot, talks have already begun between the player’s representatives and the Iranian club, which is looking to strengthen its defense ahead of the new season.
Aluminium Arak FC, currently competing in the Persian Gulf Pro League, is said to be seeking a versatile defender, and Guihoata, who can play both as a central defender and right-back, has emerged as a top target.
Guihoata, a former player for French clubs Valenciennes FC and Nîmes Olympique, brings a wealth of experience from his stints in Europe and Africa.
