Jeremy Oyono joins Spezia from Frosinone on season-long loan

Gabonese-French right-back Jeremy Oyono has joined Spezia from Frosinone on loan, completing a move that keeps the 25-year-old in Italy for the 2026-27 campaign.

Oyono’s transfer was completed on 25 August 2026, with the loan scheduled to run until 30 June 2027. He will return to Frosinone at the end of the agreement.

The Lille-born defender becomes part of Spezia’s squad after leaving a Frosinone side competing in Serie A. Oyono is a right-footed full-back and stands 1.78m tall, offering experience in Italian football despite remaining at an early stage of his senior career.

He joined Frosinone from US Boulogne on 8 August 2024 in a free transfer. Before that move, Oyono had spent his senior years in the Boulogne system, progressing from Boulogne B after coming through the club’s youth structure.

Oyono began his development with VAFC’s youth teams before moving to Boulogne’s under-19 side in 2018. He later stepped into senior football with Boulogne B and then US Boulogne, where his performances earned him a move to Frosinone.

The switch to Spezia marks his latest change of club in Italy and gives him a new setting for the coming season. His market value is listed at €250,000, while his highest recorded value has been €400,000.

Spezia’s new defender holds both Gabonese and French nationality. He was born in France but represents a footballing link between the two countries through his nationality profile.

The move has been recorded as a loan rather than a permanent transfer, with no fee specified. Oyono’s registration at Spezia covers the 2026-27 season, after which he is due to return to Frosinone.

He joins Spezia without having made an appearance in the club’s early Serie A or Italy Cup fixtures of the campaign, and the transfer completes his move from Frosinone.
