Jeremy Monga: Manchester City sign England-Zambia winger from Leicester in 11.7m deal

Manchester City have signed England-Zambia winger Jeremy Monga from Leicester in a deal worth 11.7m. The 17-year-old left-sided attacker has agreed a contract at the Premier League champions running until 30 June 2031.

Monga, who was born in Coventry and is right-footed despite predominantly operating from the left wing, arrives at City after progressing through Leicesters youth system and breaking into their first team. He moved from Leicesters youth ranks to their senior side in 2025 before earning this switch to the Etihad Stadium.

The teenager has already accumulated competitive experience across several levels. He has featured in the Championship, Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup, as well as in age-group competitions including the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2. Across those appearances, he has contributed goals and assists in youth and development leagues while also gaining minutes in senior domestic competitions.

Standing at 1.79m, Monga is capable of playing across the front line but is primarily deployed as a left winger. His latest valuation had reached 15m, underlining the scale of Citys investment in a player still in the early stages of his professional career.

Monga joins Manchester City from Leicester on a permanent transfer and will remain under contract with the Premier League club until the summer of 2031.
