Jeremy Agbonifo: Sweden-Nigeria winger joins Jagiellonia Bialystok on loan from Lens

Sweden-Nigeria winger Jeremy Agbonifo has joined Polish club Jagiellonia Bialystok on a loan move from French side Lens. The 20-year-old right winger will spend the 2026-27 season in the Ekstraklasa, with his deal at the Polish champions running until 30 June 2027.

Agbonifo, a left-footed attacker who can operate from the right flank, arrives in Bialystok after an 18-month spell on Lens’s books that featured a series of temporary moves. Lens originally signed him from Swedish club BK Hacken in July 2025 for €6.5m before sending him out on loan to Basel and then back to Hacken.

Born in Gothenburg in October 2005, Agbonifo has already gained experience in several European leagues despite his age. He has appeared in the Allsvenskan, Ligue 1 and the Swiss Super League, as well as featuring in European competition including the Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying.

Across those competitions he has delivered goals in domestic leagues, European qualifiers and cup ties, including three goals and an assist in UECL qualifying and strikes in both Ligue 1 and the Swiss Cup. His overall senior record includes more than 50 competitive appearances and regular minutes across different systems and styles.

Agbonifo previously came through the youth set-up at BK Hacken before moving to FC Porto’s academy at under-17 level, returning to Sweden in 2024 to break into Hacken’s first team. He was part of the Hacken squad that won the Swedish Cup in 2025.

Jagiellonia have secured Agbonifo on loan from Lens until the end of June 2027, with the winger contracted to return to the Ligue 1 club after his spell in Poland.
