Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta has reportedly been offered to Turkish club Fenerbahce as speculation about his future continues to grow.
After a prolific end to last season, where he scored 13 goals in his final 13 Premier League matches under Oliver Glasner, Mateta has struggled to replicate that form.
This season, the French striker has managed just three goals in 12 league appearances, adding two more in other competitions.
Mateta, currently earning £50,000 per week at Selhurst Park, has reportedly sought a pay rise following his strong performances in the previous campaign.
However, with 18 months left on his contract and Palace reluctant to sell him during the summer transfer window, uncertainty surrounds his future.
Reports from Turkish outlets suggest that Mateta’s agent has presented him as a potential signing for Fenerbahce, who may be looking for a replacement for Edin Dzeko.
The Istanbul club sits second in the Super Lig and is keen to strengthen its attack to challenge league leaders Galatasaray.
As negotiations loom, it remains to be seen how Crystal Palace will approach potential offers for the Olympic silver medalist, especially with other clubs, including Liverpool, rumored to be monitoring his availability.
