Jean-Philippe Gbamin has signed a two-year deal with FC Zurich, leaving FC Nantes after the 2023/2024 season.

The 29-year-old Ivorian midfielder, who will wear number 4, brings a wealth of experience, having previously played in Ligue 2, the Bundesliga with Mainz 05, and the Premier League with Everton.

Injuries disrupted his time in England, and he spent recent seasons on loan at CSKA Moscow, Trabzonspor, and Nantes.

Gbamin will bolster Zurich’s midfield as they fight for a European spot.

With 17 caps for Ivory Coast, his move to Switzerland could serve as a chance to reignite his career and potentially return to the national team.
