Jean NGuessan: Ivory Coast midfielder rejoins Khor Fakkan from Al-Wasl
Ivory Coast midfielder Jean NGuessan has rejoined Khor Fakkan from UAE champions Al-Wasl in a completed move within the UAE Pro League. The 23-year-old central midfielder, who first moved to the Emirates in 2024, returns to Khor Fakkan after spending the second half of last season there on loan.
NGuessan, born in Daloa and standing at 1.77m, had been on Al-Wasls books since February 2024, when he arrived from French side Metz. He now makes a fresh switch back to Khor Fakkan, where he has already featured in league and cup action, including appearances in the UAE Pro League and AFC Champions League Two.
Comfortable in central midfield and predominantly right-footed, NGuessan brings experience from several competitions despite his age. He has played in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 in France, the Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup, as well as continental tournaments such as the CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup and AFC Champions League. Across his senior career he has contributed goals and assists in league, domestic cup and international club competitions.
During his time at Al-Wasl, NGuessan was part of a squad that secured both the UAE league title and the UAE Presidents Cup in the 2023-24 campaign. Prior to his move to the Gulf, he had spells with Nice and Nimes in France and Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland after leaving RC Abidjan.
NGuessans move sees him return to Khor Fakkan as a central midfield option for the upcoming UAE Pro League season.
