Arsenal are being linked with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, with the Bundesliga club’s rising star reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League side.

Reports in Germany list the probability of a transfer at around 10%, underlining that any deal remains at an early and speculative stage rather than an active negotiation. Frankfurt are thought to value the 20-year-old at around his latest market valuation of €25.00m, a figure that reflects his rapid rise since moving to the Bundesliga from Angers SCO in January 2024.

Bahoya, a right-footed left winger born in Montfermeil on 7 May 2005, holds both French and Cameroonian nationality and has developed a reputation as a direct attacking threat on the flank. Having progressed through the Angers SCO youth system – from Angers Formation to the U17s, then the B team and finally the first team – he earned his move to Frankfurt after breaking into senior football in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.

His market value has surged from €100,000 with Angers’ B side in 2022 to €25m at Frankfurt by October 2025, highlighting his growing stature. The data shows no current contract expiry date, leaving open – at least in theory – the possibility of a future free-agent scenario if no extension is agreed, though there is no indication yet that Frankfurt plan to lose him without a fee.

Bahoya currently wears the number 19 shirt in Frankfurt and plays in the Bundesliga, a competition that has often served as a stepping stone to the Premier League. While there are no confirmed talks between the clubs, Arsenal’s interest fits a pattern of targeting versatile, young wide players capable of operating on either wing.

If a move were to materialise, a switch from Frankfurt to Arsenal could mark a pivotal stage in Bahoya’s career, offering a prominent platform to elevate his reputation and test his potential at the very top level.
