Jean-Luc Dompe misses HSV training with minor adductor issue
Jean-Luc Dompe was absent from Hamburger SV’s full team training session on Thursday, instead completing an individual workout away from the main group.
As reported by the Hamburger Abendblatt, the 30-year-old winger did not join his teammates on the pitch and was monitored separately by the club’s staff.
According to the report, Dompe is currently dealing with adductor problems, which prompted HSV to take a cautious approach and remove him from normal training. Rather than risk aggravating the issue, the winger spent the entire session in a tent next to the pitch, where he worked on an exercise bike for around 45 minutes. This controlled load allowed him to maintain some fitness while protecting the affected area.
Importantly for HSV supporters, there is no indication that the complaint is serious. The adductor discomfort is described as mild, and the club expects Dompé to be able to return to full team training in the near future once the irritation settles. For now, the focus is on ensuring he recovers properly so he can play a full part in preparations for the new season
