Jean-Luc Dompe: Hamburg winger linked with Deportivo La Coruna move

French and Ivorian winger Jean-Luc Dompe, currently with Hamburg, is being linked with a move to La Liga club Deportivo La Coruna.

The 31-year-old left winger is under contract with Hamburg until 30 June 2027, meaning any potential transfer would require an agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer. The reported possibility of the move is currently rated at 54%.

Dompe joined Hamburg from Belgian side Zulte Waregem in August 2022 for a reported €1.1m. He has since established a significant record in Germany’s second tier, making 87 appearances and contributing 15 goals and 32 assists in the 2. Bundesliga.

His most productive campaign in that competition came in 2024-25, when he was recognised as its leading assist provider. Dompe has also played 20 Bundesliga matches, scoring three goals.

Hamburg’s valuation of the player is listed at €2.5m, while his highest recorded market value was €3.5m. A move to Deportivo would represent a switch from Hamburg’s current Bundesliga setting to Spain’s top flight, although no transfer has been confirmed.

Dompe has spent the past four years with Hamburg after developing his career in France and Belgium, including spells at Valenciennes, Standard Liege, Sint-Truiden, Amiens and KAA Gent. He remains a Hamburg player with one year left on his current deal beyond the reported transfer interest.
