There is a buzz surrounding the training sessions of Anges FC de Notsè in Lomé since last Thursday, as the reigning champions of Togo’s first division are said to have secured the services of a Belgian coach, Jean-François Losciuto, for the upcoming season. However, Losciuto himself has tempered these reports, stating, “I am here, but currently, nothing has been signed,” in a conversation with lavenir.net.
Although not widely known, Losciuto is a youth trainer with a UEFA A license and has previously managed Wegnez and Halthier, a club in Liège. If confirmed, he will be taking over from the Ivorian Olivier Yaro as the head coach of Anges FC. Yaro had achieved the remarkable feat of guiding Anges FC to victory in the Togolese D1 in his first season in the elite league.
The club is currently gearing up for the preliminary rounds of the African Champions League, where they will face Enyimba of Nigeria next month. The outcome of Losciuto’s potential involvement adds an element of anticipation to the team’s preparations for this continental competition.
