In a friendly match against Japan, Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, faced a 3-1 defeat. Frank Acheampong scored an early goal for Ghana with a well-placed volley. However, Japan managed to make a comeback, equalizing and then securing two more goals to win the match 3-1. Despite the loss, it was a preparation game for Ghana as they gear up for the African zone play-offs in the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
