Ludogorets are being linked with a move for CSKA Sofia central midfielder James Eto’o, with the Bulgarian champions monitoring the €1.50m-rated player’s situation ahead of a potential deal.
The 25-year-old, who holds both Cameroonian and Bulgarian nationality, is currently under contract at CSKA Sofia, but publicly available data does not list an expiry date, prompting speculation he could become a free agent if no extension is agreed. Eto’o joined CSKA from Botev Plovdiv on 2 September 2024 and has since seen his market value rise back to €1.50m, having fluctuated between €1.00m and €1.50m during his time in Sofia. Born in Yaoundé on 19 November 2000 and standing at 1.76m, Eto’o came through the French system at FC Nantes, progressing from the U19s to the B team before spells at US Boulogne in France and then Botev Plovdiv in Bulgaria.
