Jack Senga makes Croatian switch as NK Dugopolje sign FK Sarajevo midfielder on loan

Belgian and DR Congo midfielder Jack Senga has joined Croatian club NK Dugopolje on loan from FK Sarajevo.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder moves to the Prva NL side after spending the early part of the 2026-27 season with Sarajevo, who compete in the Premijer Liga BiH. No fee has been disclosed for the transfer.

Senga’s move was completed on 12 August 2026 and takes him from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia. He is a right-footed midfielder who stands at 1.90m, and will continue his career with Dugopolje after previously gaining experience through a series of loan spells in the United Kingdom and Bosnia.

He joined FK Sarajevo B from Reading Under-21s on a free transfer in August 2025 before moving into Sarajevo’s senior setup in February 2026. His first spell away from the club came shortly afterwards, when he joined Igman Konjic on loan for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.

Senga returned to Sarajevo at the end of that loan on 30 June 2026. He then moved on to Dugopolje less than two months later, with the Croatian club becoming the latest destination in a career that began in the Reading academy.

Before joining Sarajevo, Senga had been involved in the English football system with Reading Under-18s and Reading Under-23s. He also spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Ayr United, returning to Reading Under-21s when that spell ended.

His move to Dugopolje gives him a new club in Croatia’s second tier after his recent time in Bosnia’s top division. Sarajevo’s first-team squad had also included him during the club’s participation in domestic and European competition, although he did not record an appearance in the 2026-27 league or Conference League qualifying matches before the transfer.

Senga is scheduled to remain with NK Dugopolje until 15 January 2027, when he is due to return to FK Sarajevo.
