Jaafer Moussa: Tunisian defender joins Hammam Sousse on long-term deal

Tunisian defender Jaafer Moussa has joined ES Hammam Sousse from BS Bouhajla, signing a contract with the Ligue 1 side until 30 June 2028. The move keeps the domestic-born player in Tunisia’s football pyramid as Hammam Sousse continue to shape their squad for the coming campaigns.

Moussa, who operates primarily across the back line, makes the switch after a spell with BS Bouhajla, stepping up to the top tier with his new club. The transfer was completed on 26 July 2026, with Hammam Sousse confirming the deal ahead of the new season.

The signing underlines Hammam Sousse’s focus on reinforcing their defensive options with home-grown talent familiar with the local game. By committing Moussa to a contract running through to 2028, the club have moved to secure stability in a key area of the pitch over the medium term.

Having built his career within Tunisian football, Moussa now joins a Hammam Sousse side competing in Ligue 1 and looking to consolidate their status in the division. His arrival from BS Bouhajla adds further depth and competition for places in the defensive unit.

Moussa’s transfer from BS Bouhajla to ES Hammam Sousse was finalised on a multi-year agreement, tying the Tunisian defender to the Ligue 1 club until the summer of 2028.
