Izzedine Doukha Set for Potential Move to Sporting Braga
Algerian goalkeeper Izzedine Doukha could be on the verge of making a significant career move, with the USM El Harrach shot-stopper linked to a transfer to Portugal. Doukha, who is currently out of contract at the end of the season, has been on trial with Vitória Setúbal but is now reportedly closer to joining Sporting Braga.
In an interview with Echourouk TV, the 27-year-old confirmed ongoing talks with several Portuguese clubs, including Vitória Guimarães and Academica Coimbra. However, it appears Braga are in pole position to secure his services.
“My agent is negotiating with three Portuguese first division clubs, namely Vitória Guimarães, Academica Coimbra, and Sporting Braga, but it is in the latter that I should land,” Doukha revealed. He also noted that Braga’s management hopes to finalize the deal before the upcoming World Cup.
Doukha is expected to be free to sign with a new club after the season ends, and he is waiting for his agent’s return from Portugal to finalize the next steps in his career. A move to Braga would mark a major step for the Algerian international as he looks to make an impact in European football.
