Algerian goalkeeper Azzedine Doukha could be on the verge of a significant career move. The USM El Harrach goalkeeper is reportedly attracting interest from clubs in Portugal. After undergoing a trial with Vitória Setúbal, he could be headed to Sporting Braga. Doukha has confirmed that negotiations are underway with the Portuguese club, which has made him an offer.
“My agent is in discussions with three Portuguese Primeira Liga clubs, namely Vitoria Guimaraes, Academica Coimbra, and Sporting Braga, but it seems that Braga is where I will end up,” Doukha revealed in an interview with Echourouk TV.
“The Braga officials even want to finalize the transfer before the upcoming World Cup. I am awaiting my agent’s return from Portugal, where he is currently, to make a decision about my future,” he added.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, allowing him to secure a move before the World Cup.
