Iyed Belwafi: Tunisian winger at CS Sfaxien linked with Raja Casablanca move

Tunisia right winger Iyed Belwafi is being linked with a move from CS Sfaxien to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca as the Botola Pro Inwi side explore attacking reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.

Belwafi, 23, is under contract with CS Sfaxien until 30 June 2028, meaning any deal is likely to require a significant negotiation with the Ligue 1 club, who currently value him at around €400,000. Raja are thought to be monitoring wide options in North Africa, with Belwafi’s age and experience at domestic top-flight level putting him on their shortlist.

A product of CS Sfaxien’s youth system, Belwafi stepped up from the club’s U21s to the first team in 2022 and has since made his name on the right flank. He briefly left on loan to US Ben Guerdane in August 2024 before returning to Sfaxien at the end of that season, a spell that helped increase his market value and cement his status back at his parent club.

Primarily deployed as an attacking right winger and favouring his right foot, Belwafi has made 57 Ligue 1 appearances for Sfaxien, scoring 13 goals. He has also gained experience in continental competition, featuring in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Born in Mezzouna in May 2003 and wearing the No 11 shirt at Sfaxien, Belwafi is regarded as an established member of the first-team squad. With three years still remaining on his current deal, CS Sfaxien retain a strong position in any talks as Raja Casablanca weigh up whether to formalise their interest.
